| They sat in separate cars, his red, and hers blue. He was very good
looking and she was a dark haired and mysterious older woman. His look
of confusion caught her eye. She scooted over and made room and he
gladly joined her. She was much more experienced in matters such as
these. She put her arm around him reassuringly as if to let him know
that everything would be ok.
It really is simple to understand after all. He passionately explained
the source of his concern and she kindly and gently helped him to
understand. Suddenly, seemingly from nowhere, a loud alarm sounded.
they both looked around in confusion because neither one of them had
ever heard anything like this before. Fortunately, their parents knew
just what to do and quickly and safely evacuated them from the mall
play area where they were working on their driving skills.
Unfortunately, in all the confusion, he never got the number of the
dark haired older woman. I'm sure he will pass the many hours that he
will spend in the coming months at the mall play area, looking intently
for the girl of his dreams. Ah young love. Hopefully he will be more
aware next time and get the number before the fire alarm goes off.
So
in other news, we had our ultrasound this week and found out that baby
number two is going to be a boy. We are really happy and everything is
progressing smoothly so far. The blessings that the Lord has given us
in this time of uncertainty have been really something to cherish. We
have seen good friendships become great, we have seen God provide for
us in a big way, we have seen Ian continue to learn and grow and be a
joy to us every day and we have seen our new son continue to develop
with good health for himself and for Amanda. There is nothing quite
like being able to see God's hand on your life. It doesn't remove the
anxiety but it does help to know that I am facing this time and
difficulty, with someone who has faced things much more difficult than
this. I couldn't say that my faith is unshakable, but it is in the
right place.

| Election Day here in Lincoln. Here is the question of the day as asked by an eager young journalist of one of the mayoral candidates. "What will your reactions be as the returns roll in?" hmmmm.....

| Since we had gone for so long without adventure in our lives, some dropped in today. My employer did lay-off's today of 17 people and I was one of them. I'm pretty bummed and I don't really know where to start looking but I know it'll work out. It's just hard to see how right now.

| I used to keep this blog full of all sorts of ramblings and things. I kind of figured that some of you that read here, were just more interested in what life was like for Jon Bean and his lovely family. I am probably going to just post news and life happenings (whatever that means) here at Xanga. If anyone is interested however, I will continue to post my demented ramblings on faith, questions, answers(?), and other such reflections here at my semi-new blogspot blog. That address is jonbean dot blogspot dot com in case the link does not work. Stop by and visit and leave your thoughts if what I say doesn't blind you with it's craziness. I will keep updating things like how the pregnancy is going and the house process and all that fun stuff here so you won't miss any news.
Relating to the pregancy, please keep praying for Amanda. She is having a bit of a tough time with sickness in the evening, rather than the morning. Thanks for your comments and prayers. I really do enjoy hearing from you.

| I'm sure some of you might have guessed but we recently found out that we are going to have another baby. We are really excited although I will admit a bit of anxiety due to the fact that I don't really feel like I have a great handle on Ian yet. This is a real blessing for us and we are really grateful. In other news, I went and saw Andrew Osenga last night here in Lincoln. Some of you might be familiar with him but you might be more familiar with Cadmons Call which he is the lead singer of. He was really good and my good friend Bret who is the worship leader at my church, played drums and another guy from church that I don't know too well played bass. He has some nice thoughts about the show on his blog too. It was kind of a tricky show because AO's flight got delayed so he never got to play with his impromptu band before the set. It was all on the fly and everybody did great. I have to say that I'm really impressed when something with that much potential for disaster comes through. It just goes to show how much difference it makes when really skilled musicians play together. As far as I could see, the set was just as complex as if he had brought his own band. Ok enough raving about how great that was although you should all familiarize yourselves at once with Andrew Osenga. We are still waiting on word about the house although it still looks great. Things are coming together really well. Thanks for praying. Here is a pic of Ian and a couple of pics from Andrew Osenga's site from last night.
